Speakman STW-350 Thermostatic Mixing Valve
Speakman STW-350 Thermostatic Mixing Valve is able to support up to three emergency showers and/or eyewashes. The STW-350 is made of two independent thermostats housed in a single casting that is capable of supplying 62.5 GPM at 30psi of tepid water. The twin thermostatic cartridges respond independently to the incoming hot and cold water and provide backup protection against element failure. If one fails, the other continues to function. The STW-350 mixing valve is set at the factory to deliver 85ºF outlet flow. The thermostatic cartridge responds to changes in the hot and cold water supplies. If the element fails, the valve will provide cold water flow. With the ANSI Z-358.1 2014 standard, it is mandatory that the flushing fluid be between 60 and 100 degrees fahrenheit. Thermostatic mixing valves should be vandal resistant with the use of lockout/tagout.
