3M Acid Gas Cartridge 6002 is a NIOSH approved respirator cartridge.  It is used in chemical manufacturing, glass etching, pulp and paper and laboratories.  When fitted properly it provides protection from chlorine, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen sulfide at concentrations of up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half face respirators and 50 times with full face respirators.

3M Formaldehyde/Organic Vapor Respirator Cartridge 6005 can be used for a variety of applications including laboratories, wood processing, carpet manufacturing, and primary metals manufacturing and protects from formaldehyde and certain organic vapors and is NIOSH approved.  It protects against 10 times the PEL with a half face respirator and 50 times PEL with a full face respirator.  OSHA requires that gasproof goggles be worn with half face respirators when used against formaldehyde.
