Speakman SE-354 Thermostatic Mixing Valve for Three Showers or Eyewashes With Cabinet and Valves

The Speakman SE-354 comes complete with a mixing valve  and a surface mounted enamel cabinet.  It can support up to three emergency showers and/or eyewashes.  The SE-354 is made of two independent thermostats which are housed in a single casting.  The twin thermostatic cartridges respond independently to the incoming hot and cold water and provide backup protection against element failure.  If one fails, the other continues to function.  The SE-354 mixing valve is set at the factory to deliver 85ºF outlet flow.  The thermostatic cartridge responds to changes in the hot and cold water supplies.  If the element fails, the valve will provide cold water flow.  With the new ANSI Z-358.1 2009 standard, it is now mandatory that the the water be not just tepid, but be between 60 and 100 degrees fahrenheit.  Thermostatic mixing valves should be vandal resistant with the use of lockout/tagout.
