Arc Flash Kits
ARC Flash Kits need to be the match the threat in which the workers are exposed to with a complete kit and with the proper cal/cm2. ARC Flash Kits need to be in compliance with the NFPA 70E 2018 Standard. Each level, 1-4, is rated at a certain amount of flame resistance measured in cal/cm2.
Arc Flash protection should be taken very seriously. Arc flash happens when electrical conductors are placed close to each other with significant fault currents flowing through those conductors. Arc flash hazard levels may be high even from low voltage equipment because of high fault currents. No matter the reason that arc flash occurs and occurs mostly by human error, protection from this dangerous threat is so very important. It is important to have a preventive program for electrical material and equipment and make sure qualified personnel are equipped with the proper tools and PPE.
