Chemical Resistant Gloves
Chemical Resistant Gloves come in a variety of different materials and styles. The determining factor in the choice of glove is the chemical that will be in use while wearing the gloves. There is not a one glove fits all chemicals solution.
Chemical Resistant gloves are tested on three criteria to determine what type of glove is to be worn for each specific chemical:Permeation – determines a rate of how long a glove can be submerged in a test chemical The results show the higher the rate- the more chemicals passing through.
Degradation- shows the physical properties of a material changing due to the application of a chemical
Breakthrough time- analyzes the amount of time between the initial contact with the chemical on one side of the glove until detection of the chemical on the other side.
