Back Support Belts

Back Support Belts

Back support belts are one of the most important but probably one of the most neglected part of many company's safety program.  The enforcement of the use of industrial back supports needs to be brought to the next level.  Because of the slow progression of back problems, it is always difficult to determine how a back problem began.  Over time, a worker can experience wear and tear on the lower lumbar area of the back and cost his or her employer downtime and unnecessary medical costs.

Back support belt use is reminiscent of the seat belt mentality of the sixties.  It took many years and many incidents and cost before seat belts became mandatory. When workers are performing jobs that require moving or lifting of heavy objects or performing repetitive tasks from an awkward position,a back support belt should be worn to avoid back injury!
