Respirators

Respirators protect the wearer from the inhalation of harmful particulate dusts and dangerous fumes and gases.  They are offered in a wide range of styles for all types of industries, the military and for the consumer use.  One type can remove particles from the air while other types supply fresh, clean air from other sources. Respirators need to be used and fitted correctly in order to reduce the amount of exposure from harmful particles and gases. They should be available to all employees in the workforce that have the potential for exposure to hazardous substances in the air. These employees should be trained in the proper use of this equipment.  The Department of Labor's OSHA Respirator Standard is important to review to ensure the protection of your workers.
